Brainless Malaysian Tesco

This has to be some of the brainless thing I have ever experience in business.

As I was doing my grocery shopping at Damansara Perdana Tesco, beside The Curve, I was this price mark-up that doesn't make any sense. I mean, this has got to be a person who fails even simple maths!

You know Milo (Malaysian version of Chocolate beverage powder) is packed in 1Kg and 2Kg packing. When I wanted to grab that 2Kg since my family has been consuming it so I must as well get the most content packed. And while I was there I noticed something bizarre: the 1Kg Pacing, out of hundred of them, there're only left a few packs; but the 2Kg packing is still untouchable. So my maths mind kicks in to do some price comparison. So The 1Kg packing is selling at 12.99 Ringgit and 2Kg is selling at 27.99 Ringgit.

Well Well Well... What did this kind of brainless price mark up? This person must be some math loser to do this.

As a result, I grabbed 2 bags of 1Kg packing, and walks away to the counter.

2 Bags of 1Kg packing at RM12.99 = RM25.98

compare to

1 Bag of 2Kg packing at RM27.99

I Saved RM2.01 !
